1st Place | Isabella Cho, “Seoul Haibun”
Isabella “Izzy” Cho is a student and writer from Wilmette, Illinois. She is the recipient of the 2020 Lin Arison Excellence in Writing Award, and her work has been recognized by the National YoungArts Foundation, the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, Princeton University, the Sejong Cultural Society, and the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation, among others. Some of Izzy’s favorite things include cafes, fancy soaps, and Korean dramas. She will attend Harvard University in the fall.
2nd Place | Sarah Lao, “SOLILOQUY ON THE NEW MOON”
Sarah Lao is a junior at the Westminster Schools in Atlanta, Georgia. Her work can be found or is forthcoming in Rattle, the Penn Review, and Liminality, among others. She is a 2019 Best of the Net Finalist and 2020 YoungArts Finalist in Poetry, and she has been recognized by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, Hollins University, Penn State Behrend, and the Adroit Prizes.

Zoe Kurland is a writer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She holds a BA in English from Columbia University.
2nd Place | Lilith Todd, “Candida”
Lilith Todd is a Ph.D. candidate in English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University. She writes on 17th- and 18th-century transatlantic literature, intimate labors, and body fluids.
