Social Media Director
So many readers receive their daily reading by scrolling through social media. We want the face of COUNTERCLOCK to be a miniature journal and gallery in and of itself, allowing the poetry and prose experience to be meaningful, accessible, and engaging for readers. This might include working directly with contributors to organize video interview series, coordinating giveaways, and designing campaign spreads.
We’re looking for driven and creative individuals who have an eye for ways to make poetry accessible and vibrant across all media, and to work closely with the editor-in-chief in expanding COUNTERCLOCK’s digital presence. This is a role for an organized, detail-oriented team player who is engaged with the online literary community and can take the initiative in helping rebrand and revolutionize our future. Past experience in social media, marketing, and communications is not required, although design experience is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook
Interact with online literary community
Collect and analyze analytical data to measure and track content engagement and effectiveness
Assist with the production of graphics and other marketing material to promote our journal, blog, and other CC affiliated programs

Blog Director
COUNTERCLOCK is seeking a blog director to oversee and manage our blog, Counterpoint. The ideal director will be passionate about the interdisciplinary arts with a broad interest in arts and culture, whether they are a critical reader, a discerning cineaste, and/or music aficionado. Engagement with the contemporary literary arts landscape is a must. The director must be organized and detail-oriented, have impeccable copyediting skills, and a creative mind to help push online content. No professional experience required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure Counterpoint is publishing on a bimonthly basis
Lead outreach efforts to scout for new voices and produce content for the blog
Copyediting and proofreading pieces for Counterpoint as needed
Generate original content on a monthly basis

Blog Contributor
Counterpoint, COUNTERCLOCK’s blog, publishes cultural commentary, book reviews, literary criticism, and other mini-series where we write about whatever fascinates us through the lens of literature, art, and other media. Inward-gazing, we look outward through applying art to ourselves. In the past, we’ve published a series on toxic masculinity and neoliberal recuperation and reflections on dyslexia heightening poetry’s individuality. We are seeking a creative individual who can produce content on a monthly basis that interacts with the contemporary arts. This position is highly flexible and requires approximately 2-4 hours per month.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Produce original content on a monthly basis
Contribute a book, film, or music album review once a quarter

Eligibility
Applicants must be above the age of 16. No past experience or honors are required.
We also offer quarterly internships for students and emerging writers and artists. Interns can be situated anywhere in the world, but must have access to the Internet on a regular basis. All communication occurs digitally over Facebook and Zoom. Click here for more.
All positions are remote and are considered on a rolling basis until positions are filled. COUNTERCLOCK is a not-for-profit organization; all positions are currently on a volunteer basis, but with your help in crafting a bigger and better COUNTERCLOCK, it is our hope to eventually create a part- or full-time position with compensation.
