Jamal Michel teaches English Literature at Northern High School in Durham, North Carolina. He received a Bachelor’s in English Literature at Florida International University. His work has appeared in Apogee Journal, The Missouri Review and Linden Avenue Literary Journal, to name a few. He received a Master’s in teaching English Literature at the secondary school level from Duke University and has continued sharpening his craft ever since.
