God, Can I Wear this Dress In Heaven?

Kashia Kancey

Artist’s Statement

Kashia’s persona as an artist stems from her liturgical dance background. Before she was taught Ballet, she learned how to use her body in a way that not only taught her about faith, but also about the purity and honesty in dance that goes deeper than a pointed foot. The work she has created and wants to continue to create, is meant to be heartfelt, striking, and is to be remembered.
